A breezy but mild day greeted the 20 anglers for the latest club match. Rain in the week had put some colour in the water so it was expected that the river would fish well.
Rob Pottinger fed plenty of pinkies and hemp through his bait dropper and kept the fish coming all day. He finished first with 13lb 14ozs of roach and dace and also had a bonus 3lb perch several pounds ahead of second placed Les Ramsden who had 9lb of roach and dace. Completing the frame in third place was Mick Goodridge with 5lb 14oz of roach, dace and perch.
All anglers caught despite the river not fishing as well as expected.
1st Rob Pottinger – 13lb 14 oz
2nd Les Ramsden – 9lb 0 oz
3rd Mick Goodridge – 5lb 14oz
