GUC Fur & Feather, Furnace Lane

There was a great turnout of 27 anglers for the annual Fur & Feather on the GUC at Heyford. It was a cold, breezy but dry day following on from the previous days of heavy rain. The match was pegged either side of the bridge.

Pete Laughton caught over 80 roach on bread punch for a winning weight of 8lb 5oz. In second place also with another good bag of roach on the punch was John Broughton with 7lb 14oz and completing the frame and again with a good net of roach on the punch was Graham Martin with 6lb 6oz.

Of the 27 anglers 26 weighed in with the lowest weight being 1lb.
