On a warm and breezy day 18 anglers fished the latest club match. It turned out to be a very patchy affair with the majority of anglers failing to get many bites at all, mainly down to the constant boat traffic (est 50 boats during the day) and the presence of zander with a good number being caught during the match.
On peg 1 and despite being separated from the top two sections of his pole for the last hour of the match, Rob Pottinger coasted to victory with over 16lb of skimmers (a kindly couple in a canoe retrieved the aforementioned pole sections so a double success in the end). Second on end peg 18 was Tony Hirst with 3lb 7 oz of squatt caught roach and skimmers. In third place (peg 15) was John Balhatchet just one ounce behind Tony with 3lb 6oz.
Section winners on the day were Bob Coles with 3lb 3ozs and Dave Gibbins with 3lb 1oz.
