The latest club match was held on a very out of sorts River Nene at Billing Aquadrome.
24 fished on an extremely clear and low river with very little flow and presentation was made difficult due to the number of leaves and debris coming down the river.
Bites and fish were particularly hard to come by in the early peg numbers with 10oz being the top weight in the first 8 pegs.
As the depth increased further down the match length then more bites were had and the better weights on the day were achieved.
1st with 5 pounds 1 ounce of bread punch caught Roach was Rob Pottinger, 2nd with 4 pounds 13 ounces of Perch and Roach and missing out on the Golden peg by 4 ounces was Mick Goodridge, 3rd with a few hemp Roach for 2 pounds 10 ounces was John Broughton.
Sections winners were Dave Gibbins 10 ounces 8 drams, Les Goodridge 2 pounds 9 ounces, Baz Eaton 2 pounds 1 ounce
