The latest club match was held on a very out of sorts River Nene at Billing Aquadrome.
A heavy overnight cold downpour added to consistent rainfall in the previous few days had seen the river level rise, colour up and become very pacey which did not bode well for the twenty one anglers as they arrived at their pegs.
Initial fears proved to be right with bites at a premium and nine anglers failing to register a bite at all.
Of those that did catch for most it was one bite one fish, although three of these fish were bream weighing several pounds making the difference in the placings at the end of the day.
1st with one Bream for 6lbs 7ozs was Brian Beard, 2nd with a Bream and a couple of small Roach was John Broughton with 3lbs 13ozs, 3rd Andy Kimpton with a Bream for 3lb 12 ozs 8 drams.
Sections were won by John Balhatchet 2lbs 11ozs and Brian Ayliff 12 ozs.
