Reminder to all members that today, 14th March, is the last day of the river season, the close season comes into effect from 15th March to 15th June (inclusive) when NO fishing on our stretches of the Nene or the Ouse is allowed.
Club waters that are fishable during this period are:
- Meadow Lakes
- Swan Valley Lake
- The Blue Lagoon
- The Dead Arm of the Nene
- All the canal network

A further reminder to members that the Environment Agency (EA) takes illegal fishing seriously and anyone caught fishing on our rivers during the closed season / without a licence may well be prosecuted and face a fine.
If you suspect illegal fishing / fish theft, please report it to the EA hotline 0800 80 70 60 or Crimestoppers 0800 555 111.
Last season the club took part in Operation CLAMPDOWN patrols with the EA, Police, Angling Trust, Building Bridges Project and Volunteer Bailiffs across our waters to keep a watch on possible illegal fishing and we will be doing the same again over the next few months.
