Last Updated: 2nd April 2026
Details
From the road bridge at Turvey the fishery consists of the right hand bank upstream to the weir pool then continues over the footbridge upstream to where a stile indicates the end of this section of the Ouse (see map for details). This is the point where our stretch of the river at Newton Blossomville meets this new section of river to become a joined up fishery.
Species
Barbel, Roach, Perch, Chub, Bream, Dace, Pike
Access
Pedestrian access is through a gate just before the bridge on the opposite side of the road to the lay by on the A428. In order to access the fishery there is a gate code on a combination padlock, the code is available to members in their club book. Please lock the gate behind you, Please follow the footpath to the left that leads along the side of the river to the weir pool. Following the footpath around the back of the weir pool you will come to a gate in front of a footbridge (access is for club members only) which brings you to the river above the sluice gates. The bank to the right takes you along to a gate at the end of this section of the river.
